What an assessment is for
Assessments are designed to build a clear understanding of a person’s functioning across key areas, including strengths, challenges and support needs. Where appropriate, this process may contribute to a formal diagnosis.
Following assessment, you will receive a detailed report outlining findings and practical recommendations to guide next steps.
Assessments we offer
ADHD Assessment
For children, adolescents and adults where ADHD may explain the difficulties being experienced.
Autism Assessment
Autism assessment, and combined Autism and ADHD assessment, across the lifespan.
Psycho-educational
Learning, cognitive and academic functioning, usually to support educational planning.
Functional Behaviour
Understanding behaviour in context and what maintains it, to guide a support plan.
Neuropsychological
Cognitive functioning following injury, illness or developmental concerns.
Intellectual Disability
Assessment of intellectual functioning and adaptive behaviour, often for service eligibility.
Our approach
We do not recommend assessment unless there is a clear purpose. Time is taken to establish the goals of the assessment and to ensure the process is meaningful, targeted and clinically appropriate.
