Fleurieu Psychology Services offers a comprehensive range of psychological assessments for children, adolescents and adults. Assessments are designed to build a clear understanding of a person’s functioning across key areas, including strengths, challenges and support needs. Where appropriate, this process may contribute to a formal diagnosis.
Following assessment, you will receive a detailed report outlining findings and practical recommendations to guide next steps. Psychological assessment can play an important role in clarifying difficulties, informing intervention and supporting access to appropriate services.
We recognise that each person’s situation is unique. Your psychologist will work with you to understand your concerns and determine whether an assessment is appropriate, and if so, which type of assessment will best meet your needs.
We do not recommend assessment unless there is a clear purpose. Time is taken to establish the goals of the assessment and to ensure the process is meaningful, targeted and clinically appropriate.
Your psychologist discusses your concerns and the purpose of assessment, and confirms whether an ADHD assessment is appropriate.
The number and length of appointments depends on the type of assessment and the person being assessed. Your psychologist will confirm what is required at the initial discussion.
You receive a detailed written report with findings and practical, evidence-informed recommendations to support intervention planning, educational support and access to services where relevant.
